Items of Concern regarding Advocates for Life Curriculum bill.

***Revised*** (3/12/20) - I’ve been informed that the actual sex Ed material for WA state is still under construction and the guidelines will be given to each district. The information that has been circulating around came originally from Advocatesforyouth.org and represent the National Sex Education Standards under a curriculum called "Rights, Respect, Responsibility." While that in itself is troubling, [to my knowledge as of this revision] I find a bit of comfort that the Washington state governor isn’t in a position to sign a sex ed bill that authorizes that 12th graders be required to view pornographic images as part of their school curriculum.
I will continue to keep the advocates for youth information up on this blog with a revised link name so that people can see what some groups believe is actually acceptable sex Ed material for the public school system.   Thank you again for your understanding and my apologies for the miscommunication.

(((Original Post)))  Regarding the recent legislation surrounding WA state bill SB 5395, which will likely go into law unless veto'd by the governor, I have reviewed the entire 684 page document cover to cover this evening, and my previous concerns were most certainly justified.  I highlighted my objections on an the link below, based on the page number that they appeared on (including a link to the original 684 page document).  Please be advised that there is explicit content in that attachment.  Thank you.
